As is befitting with a European capital city, Cardiff shines in the area of shopping venues.

The Victorian arcades, for instance, are deserving of a visit, containing lots of small shops, food markets, and so on.

Some of the up-market home-stores are Banana Custard (for children) and Melin Tregynt (for cushions, blankets and trinkets).
For those on foot, Queen St. is the major shopping street.
This is five streets closed to cars and featuring stores such as Marks and Spencer, Topshop, Boots, Virgin, and others.

The Hayes has more small shops and is a generally peaceful area.
However, the area has a St. Davids 2 Shopping Area under construction.

The Central Market is always popular for those looking for a deal on anything from arts & crafts to food items.
